I'm working at Royal Grounds Coffee on Polk street right now, and I suddenly felt the urge to blog. I've uploaded the photos that I've been neglecting in my iPhone... from Vegas to the drive down the 5 (yes, photo taken while driving), to a beautiful walk to the beach in Santa Monica, to a delicious lunch at my latest thin crust pizza go-to place in San Francisco (Caffe BaoNecci) and finally at a last hurrah dinner date in Saratoga at La Fondue (we ate kangaroo, which is apparently an everyday thing in Australia, according to our server). I am so very lucky. This week was my first official week as a resident of San Francisco. I've been to a few of the restaurants and cafes here, notably this wine bar that I forget the name of, that I went to with Danielle, that was absolutely yummy. A strange salad, unlimited bread with delicious cheese that actually filled me up for dinner! I should have taken a picture. I also went running on Tuesday. That was the moment when I truly felt that I can't believe I live here. I ran down Franklin to the Marina, and ran along the cost of the bay. The trail was so pretty, and I just stared at the yachts and the water in the evening. And other runners to keep me company. And I love the hills! Such a stark contrast to San Jose, flat San Jose, where I would be running on lonely sidewalks at night and the only destinations would be cold abandoned corporate tech buildings and an occasional car swooshing by. Today, I biked to the Post Office to sell my computer that I sold on eBay for a damn good price! :) It was downhill riding to the Post Office, and I definitely made the mistake of riding on Lombard in spite of Google telling me not to. I had to walk my bike back up Gough, after looking fairly silly trying to pedal up one of the hills on a high gear. I've also been walking Maggie to Allyne park twice a day, every day. I think she enjoys it, and I also think she's getting much more exercise than she used to. She's very at ease in the apartment, and hasn't caused any damage to anything (chewing paper, etc.) so far. Nights have been a little bit difficult for me with my nose blowing and coughing, but 2 of the last 4 nights, including last night, have been such restful, peaceful sleep. Photos of my new apartment once it's unpacked coming soon... class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone class=alignnone
